Empowering promising potential and strengthening international partnerships that support communities, Faal Foundation, in cooperation with the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), announces the launch of the project "Women and Youth for Peace: Building Social Cohesion and Inclusion Opportunities through Skills, Dialogue, and Community Initiatives." This joint project seeks to integrate an international vision with grassroots experience to provide genuine and sustainable support that places youth and women at the forefront of community recovery priorities. The project features an integrated package of development activities spanning several months, structured around three core pillars: 1.Pillar One: Focuses on the Women and Youth Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihoods Programme. It aims to improve participants’ professional, business, and entrepreneurial skills, enhance their employability, and boost the economic confidence of women and youth. 2.Pillar Two: Comprises community dialogue, mediation, and social cohesion activities. This component aims to strengthen local capacities in dialogue and mediation, enhance trust and communication among diverse community groups, and resolve conflicts peacefully. 3.Pillar Three: Delivers youth-led peacebuilding, cultural, and awareness-raising initiatives. It aims to increase youth participation and leadership in local peacebuilding by raising community awareness of coexistence and diversity, while promoting positive community messaging and countering negative narratives. Targeting the cities of Latakia and Tartous, along with their rural areas, within a four- month timeframe, this project establishes a proven model for effective development work. By combining the support of the Canada Fund with the field expertise of Faal Foundation, it firmly reinforces the foundations of stability and sustainable recovery.
